Ranbir Kapoor who has proved his mettle as an actor is currently lying low. The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actor didn't have a single release in 2017 and is currently gearing up for the release of Sanjay Dutt's biopic helmed by Rajkumar Hirani. Slated to release this year, the film was postponed to March 2018 and now while the makers are preparing for a grand release, the news is that Ranbir, who essays the role of Bollywood's controversial actor Sanjay Dutt wants few changes in the film.

A report in DNA suggests that a few chunks of the film were shown to exhibitors and distributors and they were impressed. They even thought that this film will change Ranbir's game in the industry. An exhibitor told the daily, “The Sanjay Dutt biopic might change the whole game for Ranbir. They have just shown us a few scenes and a song and Ranbir is unbelievable.’’

While they were fascinated, Ranbir who also saw the film wants few changes to be made. The actor knows the fact that this film will surely bring him back in the league and he wants everything in it to be perfect. A source said, “Ranbir knows this will be his big ticket film. So he wants everything to be just perfect. Apparently, Ranbir wants to do even better than he already has. That’s about it."

Ranbir Kapoor who is known for his acting chops has not had a successful year in the past. His filmography hasn't managed to impress the masses and thus a big ticket film like Sanjay Dutt's biopic is the only thing which can change his career. It is thus necessary for the film to be gritty, powerful and which will put Ranbir back on the map.

Apart from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, none of the films in the past have worked for Ranbir and thus Kapoor Jr is relying heavily on the Sanjay Dutt biopic.

Talking about the film, Armaan Mallik has worked on the music of the film and will reprise Sanjay Dutt's song Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai for the biopic. Talking about it, Armaan had said in an interview earlier, “Yes, I am doing a new version of Kya Yehi Pyar Hai. But what a huge responsibility this is. This RD Burman song is the baap of romantic duets." Amaal also said that even though he isn't into remixes he picked this one for Raju Hirani and RD Burman. "To recreate that kind of composition and to get the voice quality of Kishore Kumarji is so difficult. I am not much into remixes, but I had to do this one because a filmmaker like Raju Hirani asked me to and also because it’s a vintage RD number.”
