Salman Khan is all set to treat his fans this festive season with the release of his next Tiger Zinda Hai. The film which stars Katrina Kaif opposite the Race 3 actor is directed by Sultan director Ali Abbas Zafar and is a sequel to the 2012 blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger directed by Kabir Khan.

As the makers are gearing up for the release of the film in 3 days we're here to tell you how much the film is expected to earn on its first day at the box office.

In an EXCLUSIVE interview with zoomtv.com trade analyst, Akshaye Rathi told us, "Tiger Zinda Hai will mint anything above 35 crores on its first day."

While the former part of this franchise was directed by Kabir Khan, the latter is helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Talking about the change Ali will bring with TZH, Akshaye said, "If you look at Ali Abbas Zafar’s track record as a director, he is one of the most commercial-minded filmmakers that we have this in this country. And he is somebody who has a great connect with every section of the social strata as a storyteller. So when it comes to the mass appeal of this film, I’m sure it’s going to be far greater than Ek Tha Tiger. "

Talking about the buzz that surrounds this spy drama Mr Rathi said, “The buzz is huge surrounding Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger Zinda Hai. The first edition of this franchise which was Ek Tha Tiger did phenomenally well when it released. It was, in fact, the highest grossing film for Salman. It is one of those larger than life film which people would want ot go to cinemas to watch. The expectations are huge, the kind of content that is out yet; the promos and the songs indicate that this is a true blue treat for Salman Khan fans. And I’m sure that this Friday after a very long gap will witness fireworks at the box office.”
