Actress Sonam Kapoor who has been riding on success ever since her biopic on Neerja Bhanot and the actress has quite an impressive line-up for 2018 as well.  While she will be seen Akshay Kumar starrer Padman, another big project will be Rhea Kapoor’s Veere Di Wedding which Sonam will be a part of.

And while Sonam is venturing into many fronts the actress has now acquired rights for various bestsellers novels. And while film stories are adapted from novels these days, Sonam too will be dolling out 2 stories adapted from the novels states report in DNA.

The Neerja actress has acquired rights for Anuja Chauhan’s Battle For Bittora and Krishna Udayasankar’s Govinda. While Battle For Bittora was reportedly shelved, fresh reports stated that the film will have Farhan Akhtar and Fawad Khan being cast opposite Sonam in the novel’s cinematic adaptation and with not many developments made on the film, Sonam has now also acquired rights for Govinda and she also plans to translate the novel into a film.

Talking about both the films, Sonam told the daily, “Both (Battle For Bittora and Govinda) can be made into films, and I’m going to do it.” Govinda is the first book that is the modern narration of Mahabharata in the three book series of the novel called The Aryavarta Chronicles.

Sonam further added that I don’t know which character I will essay, but its Indian mythology, which is spectacular and has a lot of potential.”

And not just these 2 novels but the actress has also signed the official adaptation of a novel titled The Zoya Factor. The film will be directed by Abhishek Sharma however, Sonam did not speak about much, “Yes, there’s Zoya Factor, too, but I can’t talk about it,” she said.

Well, it is indeed a busy time for Sonam ahead and we are sure the actress is all set to stun the audience with her acting chops.
