Neeraj Pandey‘s Aiyaary, featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee, is all set to begin 2018 with a bang and the trailer that released today is proof of that fact.

The trailer gets a little confusing right from the beginning where we see Sidharth donning the Army suit with pride and working alongside Manoj Bajpayee. But, as the trailer continues, we see Sidharth take a darker side and go all against Bajpayee.

The trailer also showcases Anupam Kher, Naseeruddin Shah in their brilliance and we simply can’t get over the scene in the end where Naseeruddin says “Gareeb aadmi ko na ungli nahi karneka sahib” and reminds us exactly of his film A Wednesday.

So we are sure even if the plot line may turn out to be somewhat weak but the show will be surely stolen by these veteran actors.

Aiyaary, set in Delhi, London and Kashmir, revolves around two strong-minded Army officers having completely different views, yet right in their own ways. It is a real-life story based on the relationship between a mentor and a protege.

Earlier, Defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman had thanked the team of Aiyaary for constant support to the Armed Forces Week and Armed Forces Flag. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the film promises to be another interesting and engaging thriller in the lines of his earlier works like Baby and A Wednesday.

During the trailer launch, Manoj Bajpayee opened up and said he sincerely feels actors shouldn’t have any choice when it comes to genres.
“It’s not that I wasn’t getting any offers but I was just not getting anything I liked,” he added.

What may be a worrying issue is that the film will clash with Padman. Talking about the same Sidharth said, “It has happened before, just that this time it is happening with a friend.” He also said that the day being a holiday, it should be good business for the film.

Talking about the director the Ittefaq actor had said, “I am really thrilled to work with Neeraj as he always brings an element of reality to his content. It is going to be very interesting, looking forward to start shooting.”

The film is all set to release on January 26, 2018.
